In this article I am going to try to help you understand what to look for when buying a laptop if you are just an average user. I will do my best to cover all the points and explain in detail. First you want to think about size as a bigger screen size will mean a bigger laptop. Are you going to be carrying it around a lot or is it mainly for home or stationary use? I will leave that one with you.
Processor: If you go for a core dual processor then anything below 2 gigahertz is plenty as that figure will be multiplied by two due to the dual core processor.
Memory: Is known as R.A.M. This is measured in gigabytes. One or two is plenty for the memory.
Hard Disk: Also measured in gigabytes. A hundred and sixty gigabytes of disk space will be more than enough for you if you are an average user.
Graphics and games: Graphics Processing Unit or G.P.U. With a good unit you can play all the top games and watch high quality video. Basically it is the graphics quality.
Front Side Bus: is the speed data can be sent from the central processing unit to the memory. This is measured in megahertz and can increase speed so you should try to choose a motherboard with a high front side bus.
The above points are just things that you could do with knowing about before you go parting with your hard earned cash on your new laptop. Obviously if you are not looking for a laptop for average use then the above points may not be correct for you.
